Playr League changing
With 16 Playrs ready for the July Final, the International Playr League will undergo some changes now that the summer vacation is over for most people. It's obvious that the current concept with weekly tournaments is not the perfect way for the League. Instead we'll take the next few weeks to construct a new structure - including qualification tournaments in other games such as Omaha, Razz, Limit games and H.O.R.S.E. We hope these new initiatives will help bringing the IPL back up to previous popularity.
The July Final will be held on Sunday, August 10th and more info on that will follow.

WSOP - World Series of Poker
The biggest and most prestigious tournament in the world of poker is by far the World Series of Poker Main Event. The No Limit Texas Hold'em tournament is the climax to the yearly World Series of Poker Finals – often just referred to as the World Championships of Poker.
The tournament – in reality the season final of the huge WSOP tournament circuit – was played for the first time in 1970, and among the winners are some of poker's finest.

World Series of Poker Finals is the most important poker event of the year – hands down. No other tournament or poker event in the world comes even close to rivalling the popularity of this monster lasting more than a month each summer.
Comprised of more than 50 different tournaments (events) covering every conceivable limit and type of poker, the WSOP Finals is every poker players' ultimate dream. Only one thing is bigger than participating in the WSOP Finals, and that's winning a WSOP bracelet – given to all tournament winners.

The crown of the WSOP Finals is the WSOP Main Event – the single biggest poker tournament in the world. Winning this event will not only cash a player somewhere close to $10 million. It'll secure immortality in the world of poker.
This has in particular been the case since the completely unknown online qualifier, Chris Moneymaker, in 2003 went all the way and took home the Main Event after paying only $40 for his seat.

At the first Main Event in 1970 the winner was somewhat untraditionally found by simply taking a quick vote among the best players of that time, but in 1971 the tournament found the form it has today – a No Limit Texas Hold'em Freezeout tournament.
From 1971 to 2004 the Main Event was played at Binion's Horseshoe, the casino owned by the founder of the WSOP, Benny Binion. In 2005 however the Main Event had grown so big, the old Horseshoe could no longer accommodate the thousands of players, and the Main Event was moved to the Rio Casino & Hotel.
